CARNIVAL
Two more sleeps until the Carnival! It’s going to be FUN. Please pray for good weather. There will be something for everyone there: Lots of Food, Games, Talent Show, Silent Auction, Bake Sale, Beer Garden etc..
Thank you to over 90 families who submitted a Pre-Order Form. We drew a name from all the forms and the winner of a bottle of wine is Helen and Yang Sun. You can pick up your prize at the office on Thursday or Friday.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered already. There are a few spots still remaining to be filled for the latter half of the evening (6-8; and cleanup). If you can help, contact Dulce. High School students can also volunteer for service hours.
Baking Needed: Hours Given! We will be having a bake sale table at the carnival and we are requesting baked goods. You can get up to 2 hours (max) of participation hours for baking. 1 hour is equivalent to: 2 dozen cookies; 1 dozen cupcakes; 1 loaf; 1 pie; 1 cake Can you please bring your baking to the school either on Thursday, June 2nd or the morning of Friday, June 3rd before noon (preferably). If you can pre-pack it for sale, that would be appreciated (if not, we will do it). If you have any questions regarding the baking, contact Monica
Dress Down Day
Friday, June 3rd is a dress down day for all students because of the Carnival. Clothing must be appropriate for mass. Donations are not required.
Hot Dog Lunch
Monday, June 6th is Hot Dog Lunch day for those participating in this fundraiser.
SPCA Donation Day
On Tuesday, June 7, 2022 students are invited to bring something to support the SPCA. See attached flyer for a list of pet items that are needed by the SPCA.
Parent Participation Information
All submitted hours as of May 30th has been inputted in the system. Please check your logged hours in the system that it matches your records. Please contact Maricar ([email protected]) if there are any adjustments required.
Couple of reminders:
1. Participating families are required to complete 30 hours for this school year. Listed below are the penalties that will be implemented for missed hours this year.
1 to 5 hours = $100 | 16 to 20 hours = $400 |
6 to 10 hours = $200 | 21 to 25 hours = $500 |
11 to 15 hours = $300 | 25 to 30 hours = $600 |
The last main activity for the year is the Carnival, if you are still looking for hours please look to participate in this activity.
2. We will be reaching out to families within the next couple of week for those that are short of the required hours.
3. Parent Participation for schoolyear 2022 -2023 new program: Bringing Family Back to Church. This program will need 5-8 parent volunteer (preferably one for each grade) who will work together with the Parish to implement the merging together of the Parish and school by way of formal liaisons between Parish and school, promoting, planning and scheduling family or class involvement with liturgies and social gatherings or other things centered around Christ.
