Seesaw Alerts

Hello Families of Queen of All Saints,

We have exciting news about the way we’ll be sharing important school alerts with families. To streamline our communication and ensure you receive timely updates, we are moving our urgent communications to Seesaw.

Starting on December 8, 2024, all urgent family updates will be posted on Seesaw. This includes updates about:

  • School closures due to weather ๐ŸŒจ๏ธ

  • Emergency shut downs ๐Ÿšจ

  • โ€œDay-ofโ€ cancellations or changes ๐Ÿ™…ย

  • Changes to pick up or drop off procedures ๐Ÿš—

  • Delayed buses for field trips ๐ŸšŒ

How to Sign Up ๐Ÿ“ฒ

If you have a child in Grades K-4: You should already be connected to your child’s Seesaw account via your Family account. If you’d like to add another caregiver to be notified via Seesaw, contact your child’s teacher to receive an invite.

If you have a child in Grades 5-7: You will receive an invite from your child’s teacher next week with instructions on how to join their class. This invite can be used for multiple caregivers. Look for a handout from your child that looks like this:

Important Notes:

  • You will need to join the class of each child you have in the school

  • You do not need to create multiple parent accounts

  • Please follow the instructions on the handout carefully

Getting Messages ๐Ÿ“ฉ

In order for our community of parents to stay connected to the school, here are a few helpful tips:

๐Ÿ”” Install the Seesaw app on your phone and turn on notifications during the school day. Our smartphones give us many options for controlling notifications – you might consider allowing Seesaw notifications just during school hours when these important updates are most likely to be sent.ย

โญ๏ธ Check Seesaw before calling the school. If you’re wondering about weather closures, changes to pickup, or other time-sensitive updates, a quick check of Seesaw might give you the answer you need. We know notifications can be easily missed in your busy day! Checking Seesaw first helps us keep our phone lines open for urgent matters.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Keep an eye on your email. Don’t worry if you miss a notification – Seesaw will send you an email backup for any unread messages. If you’re not seeing these in your inbox, take a quick look in your junk folder and consider adding Seesaw to your “safe senders” list.

Please complete your Seesaw setup by December 3, 2024.ย  We understand this change may take some adjustment, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us communicate more efficiently with our school community.
