School News

· PE Strip Ordering – is now open on the school website until Wednesday, June 17 at 5pm or click on the link https://qasbc.ca/pe-uniform-orders/. You can drop off either cash or cheque to the school office. Students will receive their orders in September.

· Consignment Sale – will be taking place on Thursday, June 11 from 1:30 – 2:30. We will need some volunteers to help with the sale, if you are able to help out, please email Mrs. Valbuena at [email protected]

· PSG Volunteers Needed – We are currently seeking parents who are interested in serving on the school’s Parent Support Group (PSG) for the 2026/27 School Year. As part of CISVA requirements, the school must hold an annual election for PSG members (CISVA Policy

416):https://cisva.bc.ca/home/policy-manual/.

The PSG will elect the following positions for the upcoming school year:

· Chair

· Secretary

· Treasurer

These roles fulfill the full 50 Parent Participation Hours requirement. If you are interested in being considered for one of these roles, please complete the short form below by May 31,2026:https://forms.gle/vqWJ1yRKMK6HHFLf7

If more than one parent expresses interest in a position, an election will be held in June 2026 using an online voting form.

· Wellness Survey – All CISVA schools are doing this survey from Safer Schools. We want to hear your thoughts on your child’s experiences at our school. We invite you to complete a survey that includes questions regarding student safety, the school’s climate and culture, additional safety measures, and your involvement in school activities.

The survey is anonymous and will take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. You can access the survey online using the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/k7C8cbA8UA.

Once you have finished, your responses will be automatically sent to a secure site.

The information collected is confidential and will be used to generate a report that includes recommendations to enhance school safety, climate, and culture. We value your feedback as we work together to ensure a safe, caring, and inclusive school community. Please complete the survey by Monday, June 8, 2026.

· Projector – if any parents have a projector that the school could borrow for the Grade 7 Farewell mass on Friday, June 19. Please let the office know.

Fundraising News

· Carnival-Come join us for a fun filled day at the carnival this Friday from 3-8pm! Preorders are now closed. You will be able to purchase all tickets at the carnival. If you have preordered your food and activity bands, they will be given to your oldest child on Friday.

· Bake Sale: Reminder for those that will be providing baked goods for our bake sale, please drop them off Thursday morning (at the school) or Friday morning (preferably) in the school gym. Thanks to everyone for your support and contributions in helping to make this event a success for our school community.
