School News

· Thursday, June 25^th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. – will be Learning Summary pick up. You may come at the time that is most convenient for your family. If you cannot come on this day, please assign another family to pick up your child’s report card. Students are not required to wear their uniform on this day. The “Grade tables” will be set up in the gym. The lost and found will also be set up in the gym. Please check the lost and found, as there are many items. Any items left behind will be donated to charity.

· The New QAS Athletic Crest – We are changing our crest. Why? The nickname “Saints” is difficult to “see”. We want to be able to identify with something and be able to market our school. We hope to add this image to a new school sports banner, a tent, and more school swag.

Why a Saint Bernard dog? The breed was developed by a Saint, St. Bernard of Menthon, one of the monks who lived in a hospice in a pass in the Swiss Alps. The dogs were used to rescue travellers trapped in storms. St. Bernards are powerful, loyal, and are known to work well in teams. These are qualities that are important if we are to become Saints.

This image will be added to our PE uniform beginning in September. The current PE uniform may also be worn. The staff and PEC are very excited for this and hope it will help promote even more school spirit.

If your child is one of the 11 students who received their September order, last week, you may return the items to the school tomorrow in “new condition”. Your new order will be filled in September.

· Save the Date – Parish Picnic – On Sunday, August 16, All Saints Parish will be having its annual picnic at Blue Mountain Park! More details to follow.

· All Saints Parish Legion of Mary invites QAS Families to a Rosary Nature Walk – All ages welcome! Come walk, pray, and be inspired by the beauty of God’s creation. Guided by the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and Laudato Si’, let’s reflect together on caring for our common home. Please see the attached poster.
