SCHOOL NEWS
· Winter Uniform
The run of warm and sunny weather looks to be coming to an end. We will officially move to the winter uniform beginning on Monday, October 26th.
· Supporting Our Teams in the Gym
We love seeing families cheer on our Saints! As a reminder, students attending games must be supervised by a parent or guardian. For everyone’s safety, gym doors will remain closed during games, so we ask families to avoid entering and exiting the gym. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
· After-School Playground Supervision
We have been enjoying some beautiful afternoons! As a reminder, school supervision ends at 3:05 p.m. Families staying after school are asked to actively supervise their children on the playground. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe!
· Photo Retakes
If you would like your child to do retakes, please let the office know. They will take place on Tuesday, October 20th.
· Walkathon

· 3 Way Conference
The link to book a time for the conference closes this Friday, October 16.
· Halloween and All Saints Day
All students are invited to wear their costumes to school on October 29. No scary/gory/weapons/evil costumes allowed. The collection will be $1 to support the Catholic Charities.
We will be celebrating our Parish’s feast day on Friday, October 30. Students are encouraged to dress in their favorite saint costume, or they can come dressed in their school uniform.
· Community Coupon Book Fundraiser
Our Community Value Books sale has ended. Can you please return all unsold books or $40 to the office as soon as possible? Much appreciated for all your support.

We’re looking for a few more volunteers to help at the Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct 24. You can sign up directly within the OnVolunteers platform; you will find the following tasks listed directly on your Home page.
· Five volunteers during the event, 3.5 hours from 4:30pm to 8:00pm.
· Five volunteers for clean-up crew, double time awarded from approx. 8pm to 9pm.

· Hot Dog Mondays is back! Volunteers needed!
We have a couple of new parents who are taking on Hot Dog Mondays this year, but we’re looking for 2–3 more volunteers before we can get things up and running!
This year, the lunch will be offered once every two weeks, and we’ll start with just Hot Dogs for the first session (October–January).
If you’re at all interested in joining the new team, please let us know! You can respond here or email pec.parentparticipation@qasbc.ca.
We’d love to get this great fundraiser going again so we can offer more lunches for our kids throughout the year. Come join the team!

PARISH NEWS
· Let’s Talk about the New Gym at Friday Coffee – Oct. 16
Join us for coffee and some treats after the Friday morning Mass and learn about the current plans for upgrading our parish site and building a new school gym! Poster attached. Come and be a part of the conversation!
· Men’s BBQ and Beer Night – Oct. 28
The parish is having a Men’s bbq and beer night on Wednesday, October 28. It is open to all QAS dads who may want to attend. Check the poster attached for more details.
· Bake Sale Success
Thank you to all parents and students who participated in this past weekend’s bake sale and new gym awareness campaign. Your baking and volunteering were truly appreciated. It was a great success!
