· Student Led Conference – see you Thursday, May 14th. Students should come in their full uniforms.

· PEC Volunteers Needed – We are currently seeking parents who are interested in serving on the school’s Parent Support Group (PSG) for the 2026/27 School Year. As part of CISVA requirements, the school must hold an annual election for PSG members (CISVA Policy

416):https://cisva.bc.ca/home/policy-manual/.

The PSG will elect the following positions for the upcoming school year:

· Chair

· Secretary

· Treasurer

These roles fulfill the full 50 Parent Participation Hours requirement. If you are interested in being considered for one of these roles, please complete the short form below by May 31,2026:https://forms.gle/vqWJ1yRKMK6HHFLf7

If more than one parent expresses interest in a position, an election will be held in June 2026 using an online voting form.

· Yearbook Art – Open to all students. Would you like to see your artwork featured in the 2025-26 yearbook? Just draw a picture on a letter size paper depicting the CISVA theme of the year: “Proclaiming Our Faith”. Please submit your drawing with your name and grade to the school office until Wednesday, May 20th.

· Lemonade and Bake Sale – Our Kindergarten Class will be having a Lemonade & Bake Sale on Friday, May 22nd at lunch recess (11:50am-12:20pm). Treats will be available for $2 and lemonade for $1. Please come and support our efforts as these little hands with the biggest hearts help those in need! Please see the attached flyer and video!

· Lost and found – will be out front tomorrow at the Student Led Conference. Please come check it out, to see if your child is missing any items.

Come join us at our annual QAS Carnival- Friday, May 29th from 3pm-8pm 🎡

· Preorders- Skip the lines! Buy your activity bands and food in advance. Activity bands include unlimited access to an obstacle course, bouncy castles, (there are more this year!) carnival games (including prizes), facepainting and a larger prize. · Volunteers: Thanks to the volunteers who have signed up. We are still looking for more volunteers. Volunteers are needed for games, supervising bouncy castles, clean up, ticket sales, dunk tunk, etc. If you have not yet completed your participation hours, now is your chance to fulfill them. · QAS Got Talent Showcase! Get ready for the Annual Carnival Talent Show! We would love to see your talent, singing, dancing, magic, or something unique (solo or in a group)! To give more students a chance to participate, performances will be limited to one per child. We can’t wait to see your talents on stage! Registration forms are due back on May 20th. · Silent Auction Donations. We’re still looking for silent auction donations to help raise funds for our school, if you own a business or have connections to one, we would greatly appreciate donations such as gift cards, gift baskets, or services. Thank you for helping make our carnival a success. If you are able to contribute, please reach out to Paola Lashley at [email protected] or you can drop it off at the school office. Thank you for your generosity!

· Class Baskets- The PAC is helping to organize class theme baskets for our silent auction. Thanks to those who have provided a donation. If you would still like to contribute, please drop off your donation (asking $2 – $5) at the school office or with your child by May 13th.

· Stuffies Wanted– We’re launching something extra sweet at this year’s Carnival—a Stuffed Animal Adoption Centre!
We’re looking for lightly loved (clean and gently used) stuffed toys that are ready for a second chance at cuddles. If your home has a few plush friends looking for a new adventure, we’d love for you to donate them!
Your previously loved stuffies will help bring big smiles to new little owners—all while supporting our school fundraiser. Thank you for helping us give these cuddly friends a brand-new home! We will have a box by the front office for your stuffie donations.

· Bake Sale– Baking Needed: Hours Given! We will be having a bake sale table at the carnival, and we are requesting baked goods. You can get up to 2 hours (max) of participation hours for baking. One (1) hour is equivalent to: 2 dozen cookies; 1 dozen cupcakes; 1 loaf; 1 pie; 1 cake. Can you please bring your baking to the school either on Thursday, May 28th or Friday morning, May 29. · No Friday Morning Coffee & Treats! – May 15 There will be no Coffee & Treats this Friday because there is no school. See you next week!
