Dear Parents,
I want to congratulate all of our track and field athletes, and coaches on the success of the two meets thus far. Our team has enjoyed cheering each other on and being together to represent our school! Whether our athletes perform a personal best or compete with their best effort, it is good to see them participating and having fun.
Thanks also to the fans in the stands, who have been able to come and cheer our athletes! I know that they appreciate your support.
Our team will now prepare for the two day CISVA meet at Swangard Stadium in June. We will continue to practice until May 31st. There will be some additional practices for the relay teams, so they can practice on a track. All information will be made known to you next week.

Student-Led Conferences
We look forward to having the students share their classroom work and routines with their parents tomorrow. Please be on time for your scheduled conference. Students are to wear their full uniforms. In keeping with the Provincial COVID-19 Communicable Disease Guidelines for K-12 Settings, anyone experiencing symptoms of illness (including but not limited to COVID-19 symptoms), should not come into the school. If your child (or you) are not well, please let your child’s classroom teacher know. You will be contacted with information about how the conference will be completed.
Lost and Found
When you come to the Student-Led Conferences, please be sure to carefully check the lost and found items that will be placed on tables near the front door of the school. We seem to have an abundance of very nice items, especially jackets. Any items not claimed tomorrow, will be given to charity.
QAS SPCA Day
Students are invited to dress down on Thursday, May 26 for QAS SPCA Day. They can wear something that represents a pet! Donations will support the local SPCA (min $1 suggested). There will be fun stations outside at lunch hosted by the QAS SPCA Club.
** CARNIVAL**
Our Carnival will take place on Friday, June 3rd from 3 to 8pm. Everyone is welcome. There will be lots of food, a beer garden, games and prizes. Food and activity pass presale orders are due by Wednesday, May 25th. There will also be a silent auction and class projects to bid on. Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Return the volunteer form if you are able to help. Participation hours will be given. Hard copies of the forms were sent home with your oldest child last week.

Long Weekend
