School News
o “Children helping Children” Community Herb Plant Sale. – The Grade 2 class is having an herb plant sale on Friday, June 6 from 1 pm – 3 pm just outside the classroom for Holy Childhood Association. Please see attached letter for more information.
o Service Assembly – On Monday, June 2nd at 11:00 a.m., we are going to honour all those students in K to Grade 7, who have served our school this year by offering their talents in various clubs – Choir, Altar Servers, Reading Links, Readers are Leaders, Caribou Math Contests, Spelling Bee and SPCA Club.
Our Choir will perform a couple of songs. Parents are welcome to attend.
- QAS Choir News – Please see the attached letter regarding the wrap up of choir on Thursday, May 29. This is for students that are in choir.
o Class Parents for the 2025-26 School Year
We are in need of volunteers for Class Parents for the 2025-26 SY for Grade 3, Grade 4 and Grade 6. Please find attached what the Class Parent role entails. If you’re interested, please email [email protected] with your name and preferred grade.
o Parent Participation Hours
The parent participation commitment for the 2024-25 school year is 50 hours. Please login to OnVolunteers and ensure all of your Volunteer Hours are recorded to avoid your cheques being cashed.
If you’ve volunteered for a scheduled task (Workbee, Traffic & Supervision, Library, etc.) your Category Manager will submit your hours. If you have volunteered for one of these tasks and your hours are not recorded, please email [email protected]
If you’ve volunteered for any unscheduled tasks, such as Walk-a-thon, Coaching, Fieldtrips, Fundraising events, etc. then you must login to OnVolunteers and submit your hours using the ad-hoc function. The hours will then be verified online by your category manager.

Fundraising
o Carnival Talent Show – Calling all stars to perform at the QAS Talent Show at the Carnival. Last chance if you are interested in showcasing your special talent, please find attached the form to sign up and copies will be at the school office. Please print and return to school no later than Friday, May 23rd.
o Carnival – Pre-order forms
You can submit the food and activity pass preorder form online: Carnival Pre-Order – QAS
Please submit or return the preorder form along with payment by Wednesday, May 21st.
o Volunteers Needed! We are still in need of volunteers for the carnival. This is a perfect chance to sign up if you’re still working on fulling your hours.

o Hot Foods Reminder – An email was sent out yesterday to the families that still owe for term 3 hot lunch. If you could please make payment either on Munch-a-lunch or by cash/cheque to the office
