School News
Dear Parents,
It has come to my attention that in the last week we have had a least two incidents in the parking lot where drivers were ignoring the supervisors. One involved a driver going around the STOP sign that the supervisor was holding out, while a child was crossing. Another incident involved a driver “becoming aggressive” when told to not stop in an area that is not a drop off area.
This type of behaviour is very concerning to me. We need to remember that safety in the parking lots must be always upheld and be our focus. We also need to remember that our words and actions are heard and seen by our young people. I would hope that in a Catholic School, that we would be modelling and showing respect to all.
I also want to thank our traffic supervisors for their efforts to keep all our community members safe. Your willingness to be outside in all weather, is greatly appreciated. Let’s all do our part to show our appreciation by following the rules and thanking our volunteers. Remember to park your vehicle in the parking lots. The only drop off/pick-up area is located on Fairfax Street.
