SCHOOL NEWS
· Emergency Release
We will be having our emergency release on Thursday, October 8 at 2:15 pm. If parents could please fill out the emergency release form attached and return it no later than Friday, October 2nd.
· Walkathon
Walkathon will be on Friday, October 9. This is one of QAS’s big fundraisers. Are goal for this year is to raise $20,000, keep the donations coming! All donations can be made through this link https://support.rcav.org/qasbc-walkathon/ If you haven’t already done so, please return the walkathon permission form.
· NUT FREE SCHOOL
We have a few students at QAS who have life threatening allergies to nuts. Please make sure to pack NUT FREE snacks for your children.
· HOT FOODS
Ordering will be closing on Friday, September 25th. NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. More information on how to order hot lunch is attached on the flyer. · Community Coupon Book Fundraiser
Your support is needed for our Community Values Coupon Book fundraiser!
Each book sells for $40 and offers over $7,500 in savings at businesses throughout the Tri-Cities community. It was sent home with the oldest child today. All payments or books need to be returned no later than Thursday, October 8.
Order form and flyer are attached for more details. If you have any questions or would like to purchase additional books, please contact Ada at [email protected].

· Description of PAC/Class Fundraising Representative Role:
Each grade has a representative on the PAC (Parent Auxiliary Committee). This role, formerly known as the “Class Parent”, has evolved and changed over the years. The main responsibility of this role is to attend the monthly PAC Meetings on the third Monday of the month, support QAS Fundraisers, and amplify fundraising messages to the rest of each class. Please note that this role is not expected to organize class gifts or conduct other non-fundraising activities.
If they haven’t already, each PAC member will introduce themselves to their class in the coming week. We are grateful to each of the PAC members and are looking forward to bringing the school community an exciting calendar of fundraising events this year!
