· Meet the Teacher Night – All parents are highly encouraged to come tomorrow evening and meet your child’s teacher. We will meet in the gym at 6:45 p.m. for general introductions. Then parents will head to their child’s class, where the teachers explain their program and expectations and answer questions. Each teacher will present their same session twice, so that parents with more than one child can attend two different sessions. As this is a parent night, students should not be in attendance.

· Friday Masses – We attend Mass each Friday at 9:00 a.m., with the other members of All Saints Parish. All are welcome and encouraged to come. Students should come in their full uniform, including sweaters.

· Uniforms

The students look fantastic in their uniforms. Just a few reminders to help keep them looking so good:

– The summer uniform is optional right now. The winter uniform may also be worn.

– School shoes are to be all black dress shoes or all black runners. They should not have other colours on them.

– School shoes may not be boots or high tops (shoes or runners).

– Hair should not be dyed, coloured, or streaked.

– Girl’s hair accessories must match the colour of the uniform (black, white, grey, dark green, navy).

– Make up and nail polish are not to be worn.

– The QAS PE uniform may be worn to school on PE days. This includes an approved QAS PE shirt and shorts. “Outside” hoodies or sweatpants may not be worn. Kindergarten students should wear their school uniform on PE days. All students need runners for PE.

· Parking Lot – We are fortunate to have a large parking area at our school. Please note that students are often in a hurry and excited. Please keep your speed to a minimum. All drivers are asked to park their vehicle prior to having their child exit or enter the vehicle, when using the parking lot. This helps to keep the sightlines open for other drivers and pedestrians. The only drop-off/pick-up area is located on the west side Fairfax Street. If using this area, drivers are asked to limit their time in the zone.

· Playground Before and After School – Supervision of the outside area of the school begins at 8:25 a.m. until the bell. After school supervision is from 2:50 to 3:05 p.m. Students are welcome to use the playground before and after school. However, their parent or a designated adult must be with them.

· Lice check – the school will be having the Greater Vancouver Lice Clinic coming on Wednesday, September 17th to perform a Lice Check. If you’d like your child to get checked, please fill out the attached form and return to the office By Friday, September 12.

· PEC– Please see the attached letter from the PEC.
