This year our VBS program is called “Cool Kingdom Party – Mary Leads us to Jesus”. It’s jam-packed with great songs, crafts, and fun activities for kids aged 4 -11 (entering Pre K – Grade 5) to help kids grow in their Catholic Faith.
This is a 5 day program and will run from Monday the 19th of August until Friday the 23rd of August 2019 (approx. 9:00am – Noon). The last day of our VBS will run until about 1:30pm, and will consist of a special Mass and a wrap up BBQ and party.
During the week your child(ren) will learn all about Mary; how Mary said “Yes” to God’s will and that, as our spiritual Mother, she prays for us. They will also learn that Jesus is the King of Kings and how He teaches us to live as children of the Kingdom.
It is our hope that this week will help your child(ren) develop a love and excitement for Mary and Jesus that will keep their Catholic faith alive in their hearts for a lifetime. We truly want this to be a “whole family” learning experience and so we will be sending home materials to help you understand and reinforce what your children have learned.
The Daily Agenda:
- An Opening Assembly (approx 20-25 min.)
Everyone meets in their group for music, prayer, announcements, virtue demonstration, & skit. They are then dismissed for station rotations. - 6 Main Stations (approx 20 min each)
Adult volunteers along with youth will lead their group of children through the 6 different stations. The stations are Fun and Games, Faith, Healthy Snack, Crafts, Music and Fun snack. We will have a maximum of 15 children per group. - A Closing Assembly (approx 10 – 15 Min.)
Everyone meets for the song of the day, announcements, prayer, take home items and dismissal.
On Friday we will be starting our day with Mass that the Grade 5’s will have a major role in, followed by a fun day and BBQ.
Each day the activities in this VBS will focus on a central theme and virtue. From the snacks and crafts to the music and games, each activity is designed to reinforce the day’s teaching and enhance the child’s faith learning experience.
Please register early, as 90 is our maximum number of children, 15 per age group. This is a hugely popular camp and we always sell out! Register using the forms on this page, or pick up paper registration forms in the All Saints Parish vestibule and office. Completed forms can be dropped off at the Parish Office.
