Fundraising News
Help us reach our annual fundraising goal!
o Purdys Fundraiser: Thank you to the many families who supported our QAS Purdys Fundraiser! Your orders will be ready for pick up on Thursday December 5th from 2:30-3:30pm outside of the gym. If you are unable to pick up on this date, please contact [email protected] to make alternate arrangements. Thank you!
o QAS GALA is approaching fast! Join us on Saturday, February 1,2025 at the Elements Hotel in Burnaby. Ticket information will be announced soon!
We are still accepting business and family sponsorships.
Auction items – We will be accepting Auction items (Gift cards, spirits/wines, experiences, tickets, and cash!) until January 10th. Please send your donations to the office.
On behalf of the Gala Committee – We thank you for supporting our kids!
50/50 booklets will be coming out next week. We hope that each family will be able to sell at least one booklet. What a great time to get your involved over the holiday season!
o Poinsettia Fundraiser: The Poinsettia’s will be available for pick up next week. If you ordered, you will be getting an email from the coordinator about exact pick-up times and date.
Hot Foods
o Session 2 for Hot Foods: We’re excited to announce that Munch a Lunch will be open for ordering for Session 2 from December 9–16! www.munchalunch.com/schools/queenofallsaints
o Just a reminder if you still have an outstanding payment from last session, you won’t be able to order for session 2.
All absentee lunches (phone call or not) will be sent to the office for pickup. This helps us minimize errors and ensure smooth operations. Please note that we are no longer able to send lunches to siblings in other grades. This change is necessary to reduce confusion and maintain efficiency for everyone involved.
School News
o Gym Strip Order: We are opening the ordering for gym strip from Wednesday, December 4 to Friday, December 13. This is the last order until June. Here is the link to order to order https://qasbc.ca/pe-uniform-orders/
o Christmas Concert: Please see the attached notice regarding costumes for the Christmas Concert.
o For the evening performance on Wednesday, December 11 students need to arrive at the school by 6:40 pm and doors will open for the performance at 6:45 pm. As in previous years, there will be a donation box for nonperishable goods (St. Vincent de Paul food bank) or a box for cash donations.
o Advent Assemblies: On December 9, and 16, our school will gather in the gym at 8:50 a.m. to pray. Parents are welcome to join us.
o St. Vincent de Paul: Each Advent, our school supports the All Saints Parish StVdP by donating an overwhelming amount of food to support families and individuals. Students are asked to bring in the following items Starting on Monday December 9: Tuna, canned ham, chicken, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned pork and beans, chili, soup, pasta sauce & spaghetti, kraft dinner, cereal, pancake mix & syrup, peanut butter, crackers prior to Friday, December 13th.
o QAS New Family Information Night and Open House: Queen of All Saints School will be hosting an information night for any new families interested in Queen of All Saints School on Wednesday, January 8, at 7:00 PM. We will also be having an QAS Open House on Monday, January 13, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Tour the school and learn more about what makes Queen of All Saints special.
o Spirit Week: Get ready to bring the Christmas Spirit to QAS! For the last week of school, before Christmas break, we will be having different Christmas themed days. Please see attached sheet for each themed day.
Parish Information
Our Parish invites all families to join the following events:
o Friday Morning Coffee & Treats! – Dec 6th Start your Friday off right! Join us for the school Mass at 9:00 AM, then head to the parish hall for coffee, sweet treats, and great conversation. Got some Christmas baking? Bring it along and find some eager taste-testers. It’s a perfect way to kick off the holiday season—see you there!
o All Saints Parish Christmas Eve Pageant! All Saints Parish Christmas Eve Pageant! Would your child like to be a part of the greatest story ever told? We are excited to invite your child to be part of our Christmas Pageant at All Saints Parish this year! It will take place before the Holy Mass on December 24th! This year we are also hoping to form a children’s choir for the pageant. It’s not too late to join! We are still looking for
singers! Just come to the next rehearsal.
