Dear QAS Families,
It is great to see all of our students back at school this week. Once again, this pandemic has challenged our resolve. However, we have been resilient in the past and will continue to work together to keep all safe.
Thank you to all families who are carefully following the health check guidelines and keeping their child home if he/she is not well.
In addition to the health check that was sent home last week, there are a couple of other useful ones that are available on-line: bc.thrive.health or at K12dailycheck.gov.bc.ca
Our office is closely monitoring absences each day and will continue to do so. Thus far, we have very few absences due to illness and these students have not yet attended school. Should we see a “spike” in illness, we will let you know. As always, we will work closely with Fraser Health and follow all Ministry and PHO orders. We are confident that our school is a safe place to be.
Due to the Ministry of Education order, we are not allowed to offer on-line learning outside of a mandated closure. Teachers will put aside missed work for students who are not attending school due to illness or required isolation. It is up to the family to make arrangements with the teacher to pick up and return the assignments.
Let’s continue to pray for an end to this pandemic.

Bottle Drive Fundraiser January 13 and 14
You can drop off your empties in the back parking lot by the church between 8:30-9am and 2:30-3 pm this Thursday, January 13th and Friday, January 14th. Thanks for supporting QAS. If you prefer you can bring your bottles directly to a ‘return-it’ depot in sealed, clear bags, and enter the school’s phone number (604-931-9071) into the Express kiosk.
