School News

· Three Way Conference – student/parent/teacher conference will be on Thursday, October 23. Students will not attend classes on this day but will come at the Conference time chosen. Students should come in full uniform. The Calendly link will close on Monday, October 20.

· Cross Country – Congratulations to our team, who placed 9^th out of 36 schools at the annual CISVA Championships! A job well done by our athletes and coaches.

· Family Faith Formation Activity – a reminder that the “Prayer” family activity sheet is due to your oldest child’s teacher before Monday, October 20^th. We will post on sheets on one of two bulletin boards, to share with our school community.

· Photo Retakes – will be on Thursday, October 30. If your child needs to do retakes, please let the office know by email.

· Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary Info Session – Grade 5, 6, and 7 parents are invited to meet with the Principal, Mr. De Julius on Thursday, November 6^th at 7:00 p.m. in our Library. Come hear about our parish high school and have your questions answered.

Fundraising

· Support Our COMMUNITY VALUES Fundraiser! We’re raising funds for much-needed school improvements, and your support means a lot! The Community Values Book is available for $35 and includes over $5,000 in savings at popular Tri-Cities businesses like White Spot, Doughnut Love, and Extreme Air Park.

· Walkathon 🚶🏻‍♂️– QAS would like to thank Mrs. Dallazanna for all her hard work she puts into the walkathon. We’d also like to thank Save-on-Foods, Tim Hortons, Mrs. See and Mrs. Fidanza for the donations for the Walkathon. Also, to all the volunteers for your help which makes the event run smoothly. Please submit your volunteer hours online on Onvolunteers.

Deadline to donate for the walkathon is Friday, October 17^th.

4. FAMILIES WITH MULTIPLE CHILDREN, PLEASE MAKE SEPARATE DONATIONS TO SPECIFIC GRADES, as this will help with the process of tracking Walkathon Challenges (Class, School, Half-Way Hero) and Prize Draw Categories.

· QAS Halloween Party 🎃- 10 days to go until the first ever QAS Halloween party! A limited number of tickets remain. Get yours before they sell out!

· Save the Date 🎄– 10^th Annual Breakfast with Santa will be on Sunday, December 7^th. We are looking for parents/parishioners who are photographers that would be interested in helping. · Friday Morning Coffee & Treats! – Friday, 17 OCT. Join us for the school Mass at 9:00 AM this Friday, then head to the parish hall for coffee and great conversation!
