Dear Parents,
October continues to be a very busy time around QAS, with FSAs being written in Grades 4 and 7, our sports teams involved in games and tournaments, continuing to deal with the COVID-19 protocols, Three-way Conferences (tomorrow) and our Pro-D Day on Friday.
The Conferences allow the student, parents and teacher the opportunity to review the term thus far and to plan some goals for the student. This is a vital step in working to ensure that students develop their skills and competencies with regard to curriculum. These goals will be monitored by the teacher and student throughout the year. Depending on the goal and the development of the student, the goal may be tweaked or new goals may be added.
On Friday, our staff will receive training with Saint John Paul ll’s, Theology of the Body. We will also look at the new additions to the CISVA Human Growth and Development curriculum for each grade.
On Sunday at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, our Grade 7 students will take part in the Confirmation commitment ceremony. Please keep these students in your prayers.
Have a great weekend and stay safe,
Miss J. Sandberg

All Saints Parish Feast Day Celebration
Come celebrate our Parish Feast day after masses on Sunday, October 31st from 9:30am to 1:30pm. There will be an Art Exhibit of “My Favorite Saint” in the Parish Hall. The art will be created by some of our very own QAS students and young parishioners. The exhibit will be walk-through style to maintain proper safety measures. There will be door prizes as well as refreshments individually packaged for sharing. Come join the fun!
Families are requested to bring some individually wrapped goodies (cookies, bread, muffins or cupcakes) to share. Goodies can be dropped off on Saturday afternoon or 8:30am on Sunday.
Children are encouraged to submit their artwork of their Favorite Saint by October 25th. Various art forms are encouraged including painting, pencil drawing, a collage, a sculpture, poster or digital rendition expressing the theme.
WALKATHON
There are a few families that have not yet submitted Walkathon Pledge forms. Please send in what (if anything) that you have so far. Thank you.
