WALKATHON
Congratulations! As a community we raised a total of $27,345.50 from our Walkathon!! THANK-YOU! You have surpassed our expectations. This will be put toward purchasing school resources, updates and technology. We had our assembly today and gave out many prizes to our lucky winners. Since we achieved our fundraising goal, our school will celebrate with an ice-cream treat (date to be announced).
WALL OF HEROES
The reality of war in our country has impacted many families in our school community. Many children have friends and family that are currently serving or have served our country in the past. We would like to honour them in the month of November. Please bring a COPY of a photo of this person to go up on our Wall of Heroes. Please label the photo with the name of the person, the relationship to our student, as well as student name, and the war they served in. These photos will be used to create a Wall of Heroes and will be on display for the month of November. Please submit photos by Tuesday, November 2nd.
NON-UNIFORM DAY & ALL SAINTS DAY
We will have a non-uniform day tomorrow, Thursday, October 28th. Students are invited to come to school dressed as “what they want to be when they grow up”. All donations (min $1) will support catholic charities.
Monday, November 1st is All Saints Day. Children are invited to come to school dressed as their favorite saint (no donation necessary on this day).
All Saints Parish Feast Day Celebration
Come celebrate our Parish Feast day after masses on Sunday, October 31st from 9:30am to 1:30pm. There will be an Art Exhibit of “My Favorite Saint” in the Parish Hall. The art will be created by some of our very own QAS students and young parishioners. The exhibit will be walk-through style to maintain proper safety measures. There will be door prizes as well as refreshments individually packaged for sharing. Come join the fun! Families are requested to bring some individually wrapped goodies (cookies, bread, muffins or cupcakes) to share. Goodies can be dropped off on Saturday afternoon or 8:30am on Sunday.
CLOTHING DRIVE
Save all your gently-used clothing! We will be having a clothing drive on Monday and Tuesday, November 1st and 2nd. Clothing must be put in black garbage bags and can be dropped off by the front door on those 2 days. Acceptable items include clothing, accessories (belts, hats, scarves), purses, wallets, backpacks & bags, shoes & boots, towels, tablecloths, curtains & linens, socks, blankets, and bedding & pillow.
