School News
· Winter Uniforms – now that we have moved to our winter uniforms, please check the following to be sure that your child’s uniform is up to standard, according to the Parent Handbook:
1. Black dress pants must be worn and purchased from Cambridge 0r Old Navy (straight cut). Black jeans or pants with buttons other than black cannot be worn.
2. Hair accessories must match the colour of the jumper or kilt (dark green, black, grey or white).
3. Nail polish cannot be worn.
4. Hair cannot be streaked or dyed.
5. Black shoes, no high tops or boots. Shoes must be all black in colour.
6. Please label all items with your child’s name.
· All Saints Day – We will be celebrating our Parish’s feast day on Friday, October 31st. Students are encouraged to dress in their favorite saint costume, or they can come dressed in their school uniform.
· Kindergarten Siblings – We have the following families with children starting Kindergarten in September 2026: Cabrera Menjivar, Lacson, San Jose, Harvey, Nacar, Vidovic, Eliyin, Krapic, Jung, Guzzo, Grant, Park, Canil, Lotfi and Wong. Please let the office know if you have a child not on this list.
· Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary Info Session – Grade 5, 6, and 7 parents are invited to meet with the Principal, Mr. De Julius on Thursday, November 6th at 7:30 p.m. in our Library. Come and hear about our parish high school and have your questions answered.
· Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary School – OPEN HOUSE – Archbishop Carney is a Grade 8–12 Catholic faith-based learning community dedicated to educating students in a Catholic environment, challenging them to excel in virtue, and encouraging them to use their gifts in service to others. We are preparing to accept applications for the 2026–2027 school year. Join us for our Open House on Tuesday, November 25, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. to learn more about our programs, meet our staff, and experience our vibrant school community. Fundraising
· Support Our COMMUNITY VALUES Fundraiser! The fundraiser has now ended. We kindly ask all families to return any unsold books or submit the $35 payment asap.

· QAS Halloween Party – What a spectacular turnout for our first ever QAS Halloween party! Thank you to all who showed up and supported this event. It was a successful first year!!

· Walkathon Assembly – will be on Friday, October 31st at 2:00pm in the school gym, parents are welcome.
· Save the Date – 10th Annual Breakfast with Santa will be on Sunday, December 7th. We are looking for parents/parishioners who are photographers, that would interest in helping. Volunteer hours will be provided. If you can help, please reach out to Marla Tomljenovich at 778-896-5972

Parish News
· Friday Morning Coffee & Treats! – Friday, 31 October. Join us for the school Mass at 9:00 AM this Friday, then head to the parish hall for coffee and great conversation! The Grade 6 Class will present their Saints Projects to the community.
· Trick or Treat! – Friday, 31 October | 5PM-7PM All Saints Parish is ready for some Halloween cheer! If you’re out trick-or-treating in the neighborhood this Friday, October 31, make sure to stop by the church and say hello! We’ll set up a tent near the church at 5pm with candy and hot chocolate. Hope to see you there!
· Children and Anxiety – Thursday, 6 November at 6PM at the Parish Hall. Do you want to learn more about “anxiety”? How to identify it, and how you can help your child in dealing with an anxious world? Join us for an evening of learning with Dr. Tamara Williams, Ph.D, R.Psych. · Parish Feast Day – Sunday, 2 November | After the 11AM Mass | Parish Hall – Join us this Sunday for a joyful parish feast celebration! Savor 15+ delicious dishes from around the world, lovingly prepared by our fellowparishioners. Bring your family and friends, and let’s make this Feast Day a memorable celebration for all!
· Advent Wreath Making – Friday, 28 November | 3PM-5PM | Parish Hall – Join us for Advent Wreath Making on Friday, Nov 28th, 3PM to 5PM in the parish hall. Cost: $15 per family (includes candles, foam, and base) Bring your own greens, and scissors to cut branches. A teaching video is also included to help you prepare and feel confident before the event. https://youtu.be/6cwB72R8GCE No wreaths will be made during school hours—this is your chance to be part of the experience!
